Spotlight: Yet to hit top gear after four runs this term (tongue tied last three) but didn't have the run of the race at Glorious Goodwood last time (9-1 in big field); withdrawn once since when the ground was good to soft, so she is untested on ground slower than good; down the weights and cheekpieces go on.

Spotlight: Did well in two big fields on good to firm at York last season but yet to show that form in 2026; cheekpieces went on for last two outings when slowly away at Glorious Goodwood and seventh of 21 at York, the latter rather disappointing given his market prominence and that he ran so well in it the year before; well handicapped but needs a revival.

Spotlight: Dropped to 5f for last two starts and won them both, at Newmarket (good) and Ascot (good to firm); came from the rear to score narrowly in both, under Jack Dace in bunched finish last time; raised another 3lb but may have more to offer in his bid to remain unbeaten at 5f.

Spotlight: Progressive sort who has notched up three wins in 2026 and went mighty close over the extended 5f here on latest outing (made most, raced away from the rest); unraced on softer than good; otherwise looks a major player.

Spotlight: Big runs at York (5f/6f) on first three turf starts this year but found it much tougher since; Chester fourth on latest start (his first on softer than good) was his best in form terms but still suggests he will be vulnerable.

Spotlight: No win since August 2024; ran well for minor honours on his first three (of four) visits to Doncaster, a close third in this race last year; 8lb lower today but he's not been disgraced this year (repeatedly short of room last time) and makes each-way appeal.

Spotlight: Can lead; won four times last season and went close at Beverley this May; not far away three times in a row this summer (not so good on latest start) and creeping down the weights but others are now a bit more persuasive.

Spotlight: Both 2026 wins were 5f (soft/good) and decisively on top from Hypnotised at Sandown in July for latest; below form behind that rival at Newbury (good to firm) latest start but has bounced back before; one to consider.

Spotlight: Fell to career-low mark before winning at Pontefract in June and Thirsk (also 5f, good) in August; latter was best form since April 2024 and he's gone back up another 6lb, but this hat-trick seeker demands some respect.

Spotlight: Twice ran well over C&D (good/soft) in 2024, winning this race on first occasion; thrown in on that form but little to cheer this season, given a wind operation (his second) before penultimate start; latest was at least a step back in the right direction.

Spotlight: Soft ground was probably against him on latest outing; won six times on AW last year and, although he's taken minor honours on all three starts at this track, including two this summer, he does not look the percentage call with his 1-27 strike-rate on turf.

Spotlight: Won two five-runner races over 5f on good ground as a 2yo, including a nursery; made a satisfactory reappearance in May but absent since (scoped wrong before an intended race in July); lightly raced but has a lot to prove in this context.

Spotlight: 3-10 on AW compared to 1-8 on turf but the turf win came on latest start and taking that six-runner race at Chester (5f, good to soft; made all under Jack Nicholls) by 2l was career-best form on his fourth start for current yard; 6lb higher today but did it in good style.

Spotlight: Landed a pair of 6f handicaps here in early summer; well below form elsewhere on all three runs since, only 17th at York and Thirsk on last two outings, but the return to Doncaster ensures he retains some interest on this first 5f venture since reappearance.

Spotlight: Pontefract (5f, good to soft) in May saw him end a losing run and he's been competitive again on last two outings when short-headed at Newcastle (5f, AW) and close up on heavy ground at Haydock; a bit more is needed, though.
