This looks wickedly open. Last year's renewal could have a bearing as Cleopatra's Needle won it well but runner-up BILLIE FRECHETTE found herself too far back before staying on to good effect and the selection will probably be glad to see the back of fences. Fratas could be interesting on her first jumps run for Joseph O'Brien, while there are a bucketload of others with chances including unexposed British challenger Zahra Dodville. [Alistair Jones] Show less
Spotlight: Lightly raced mare who was initially highly tried by Willie Mullins; hooded when making the most of a huge drop in class at Tramore (2m4f maiden) but ran miserably when odds-on at Kilbeggan; not easy to assess ahead of this handicap debut.
Spotlight: Dual bumper winner who beat 15 rivals in a Killarney maiden in May (2m6f); quick enough for this sharper test and dangerously unexposed now handicapping.
Spotlight: Bellewstown maiden hurdle winner in April and following handicap run at Wexford looked too bad to be true; still lightly raced.
Spotlight: Progressing and might have won on her handicap debut at Cork but for some interference (2m4f, good); this drop in distance isn't an obvious positive but one to bear in mind.
Spotlight: Had 50 days off before winning over fences in October and returning from 245 days away when narrowly following up in a handicap hurdle at Downpatrick (2m3f, good; 6lb lower); a likeable type who should give this a good shot.
Spotlight: It wasn't a strong maiden she won at Bellewstown (2m4f, good) but merits respect all the same as a handicap debutante from a top yard.
Spotlight: Ex-French; Fakenham winner on yard debut and even better since then, finishing third in a Listed hurdle before a near miss at Cartmel (2m1f, good; handicap debut); interesting runner for a British yard going great runs; first-time cheekpieces.
Spotlight: Had flashes of good form under both codes for previous yard, whom she left after finishing tailed off in this 12 months ago (went off too fast); lurks on a reasonable mark on just her second run for Joseph O'Brien; finished last in the first (1m maiden) but that was after a long break so could strip fitter now.
Spotlight: Stable won this in 2022 and 2023; this mare is 0-9 over hurdles but has finished runner-up seven times, including her sole handicap start two outings ago; looks handicapped about right but has each-way claims.
Spotlight: First reserve; 0-5; placed in her first handicap at Wexford but fared less well at Limerick; perhaps the tongue-tie will help.
Spotlight: Had lost her way but firmly back on track now and won comfortably at Tramore; back up 6lb in a deeper race but considered.
Spotlight: Finished well to finish second in this 12 months ago when only 1lb lower; could be glad to see the back of fences (0-3) and one to consider.
Spotlight: Third reserve; course winner on the Flat and went close on final jumps run at Downpatrick last month; not without hope if getting a run.
Spotlight: Only fifth when favourite last time but perhaps the ground was too soft having previously finished second in 2m1f/2m4f handicaps on quicker surfaces; after seven races there's scope for further improvement.
Spotlight: Useful form for previous yards; still early days with Charles Byrnes and perhaps went off too fast in maiden company at Kilbeggan (2m2f, good; favourite); often leads and dominating a field of this size won't be easy.
Spotlight: Comfortably saw off Sea Of Doubt at Downpatrick two weeks ago (2m2f, good) but she went up 8lb for that and doesn't always follow one good run with another.
Spotlight: Second reserve; well beaten on chase debut latest; 3-37 over hurdles so she's not prolific; others preferred.
Spotlight: Just three runs over hurdles and won a Killarney maiden by 10l last August; made all in a 1m1f maiden last month when tried in first-time cheekpieces; could have a part to play.
Spotlight: Fit off the Flat and she was quite a convincing winner of this 12 months ago off 7lb lower; raced only once over hurdles in the meantime.
Spotlight: Well beaten in this 12 months ago; looks in better form now, winning at Downpatrick in May and solid since then (including over fences two runs ago); no match for Small Bucks last time but she's 7lb better off with that rival; entered 5.45 on Tuesday.
Spotlight: Point/maiden hurdle winner who ran surprisingly well on unfavourable terms at Clonmel last time (2m3f); unwise to take that form at face value.
Spotlight: Competitive form in 2024 and missed the following year; won two soft-ground handicaps for new yard earlier this year but she's fine on good and latest run at Bellewstown was after three months off; now visored.
Spotlight: 1-6 in points; Downpatrick maiden hurdle winner but twice pulled up since then, latterly on handicap debut in April.
