Spotlight: Headed the Triumph Hurdle betting before making a good all-round impression on British debut at Ascot (1m7f, good); he again raced freely, without overdoing it, when always prominent at Cheltenham (2m1f, good to soft) but there was plenty in reserve when he finally wore down the favourite, only to get nailed close home by a smart one off the Flat; redemption awaits.
Spotlight: Has won all five starts, including the Grade 2 bumper at this meeting (good to soft) last year; has made an excellent transition to hurdles, jumping confidently when not turning a hair at Newbury (2m4f, soft) on latest start; looks more than ready for a go in Graded company as a hurdler.
Spotlight: Low-key effort over 2m on second hurdle start but he'd previously prevented a useful one from having it all his own way over this trip at Leopardstown after Christmas and the return to 2m4f there (also on yielding) paid off handsomely last month; one of the better ones.
Spotlight: Not the easiest to settle and although 2-4 in this sphere he was turned over by Fingle Bridge in an Exeter Listed race (2m, good to soft) in February before finding a soft option at Wincanton; now hooded; this is a tall order.
Spotlight: Runner-up on hurdle debut at Naas (2m, heavy) and that slog left no mark when he found plenty to win at Navan (1m7f) and in a 2m Leopardstown novice (yielding), doing well in the latter to reel in a useful bumper winner, despite needing to be switched; up in class but he's progressive and open to improvement over the new trip; yard has won the last three runnings.
Spotlight: Turned over on hurdle debut but he took a healthy step forward when left clear by his main rival's late fall at Punchestown (2m1f, soft) in January; found the Turners at Cheltenham too tough since and so might this.
Spotlight: Romped through first two hurdle outings over 2m at Fakenham (good) and Kempton (good to soft) and he had enough firepower to bustle up a smart one in Grade 1 here (2m1f, soft) on Boxing Day; a subsequent defeat at Kempton suggests improvement will be needed for the new trip.
Spotlight: Moved to Alan King after Ayr bumper win and he found the most on hurdle debut at Sandown (2m, soft) against a rival who showed up well at the Cheltenham Festival next time; just a respectable effort in Grade 2 at Kelso (2m2f, good to soft) last month suggests he's highly tried here.
Spotlight: Close third to Horaces Pearl in the Grade 2 bumper here last April; no match for Regent's Stroll on hurdle debut at Newbury and although he's been a creditable third in two Grade 1s since, on this track and at Leopardstown, he has his work cut out here and the drying ground spells danger.
Spotlight: Returning from an absence when he made a successful yard debut at Clonmel (2m1f, soft) in January where he had a workout despite finishing well clear (main rival fell at the last); 80-1 and never sighted in the Supreme at Cheltenham since but he remains with potential.

There are some talented rivals against him but LULAMBA looks the one to beat on his Triumph Hurdle form at Cheltenham where he finished strongly enough to think he will cope with this sharp 2m4f. Horaces Pearl defends an unbeaten record and, although today is a big upgrade for him, he looked extremely promising over this trip at Newbury. He can be the main danger, while Honesty Policy could be a surprise package at a price. [Emily Weber] Show less
